Tallow is rendered beef fat. PURELY Free is made from the kidney fat of our grass-fed cattle in Ten Sleep, Wyoming and seven ingredients in total - tallow, cold-pressed coconut oil, snail mucin, jojoba oil, freshwater pearl powder, sea buckthorn oil and vanilla bean. Tallow's fatty-acid profile is close to that of human sebum, which is why it sinks in rather than sitting on the surface.
No added fragrance, no preservatives, and none of the harsh chemicals that strip skin of its own oils. It is the shortest ingredient list of the three, which is why people with easily irritated skin usually start here.
Same grass-fed tallow base in all three. Free is the plainest of them. PURELY Original adds the botanicals - local honey, frankincense, myrrh, rosehip and ormus. PURELY Electric adds coffee bean extract, copper peptides and squalane for a lighter finish.
Keep the jar cool, dry and out of direct sun. Tallow is a fat, so heat can melt it and separate the oils, which shortens the life of the product. It ships in glass rather than plastic to protect the bioactive ingredients.
